Competitors born 1988 or earlier can run all legs. The relay starts on Saturday, June 18 at 11.00 p.m. with a mass start. Venla relay: A four-legged orienteering relay for women's s teams representing orienteering clubs and different associations. General Instructions for both Relays: Competitors are not allowed to use spike shoes. Dobb shoes are allowed. Competition map: scale 1:10 000, contour interval 5 m, six-coloured, in accordance with the IOF standards, will be printed in March 2005. The map will be in a plastic map case. Registering via the Internet takes place by filling the form available at Sippu-Jukola's home page www.jukola2005.net. The registration form can also be sent by fax to number +358-5-535 4016. The registration form can also be ordered directly from the Sippu-Jukola 2005 office. Passwords for registering teams and entering team compositions via the Internet will be sent together with the registration form. The event invitation as well as registration and team composition forms will be sent to all the clubs and associations that participated in the 2004 Jukola in Jämi. A Finnish Orienteering Federation license is not required. The age limits for juniors must be adhered to and the information regarding the runners in each team must be correct. In both cases, the person responsible for this is the person entering the teams. In the Jukola relay, women are only allowed to run for teams representing non-orienteering clubs (i.e. other associations). Women can also compete in only one of the relays (i.e. either in the Venla or in the Jukola relay). Teams representing non-orienteering clubs can include only one first class orienteerer in the age categories Women/Men 17-39 (according to the Finnish ranking 2/2004). Each team must have at least three EMIT cards. The same cards cannot be used in the same relay by two teams representing the same club. However, teams representing the same club are allowed to use the same EMIT cards both in the Jukola and in the Venla relay. EMIT cards can be rented from the organiser at a cost of EUR 5/card. Teams wishing to rent EMIT cards must order them in advance and clearly mark in the registration form the number of cards needed. Personal EMIT card numbers are not required in advance by the organisers. They will be registered in the results system when the runners enter the start/exchange area at the competition centre. Entry fees: The entry fees for teams registering by March 1, 2005 will be EUR 112 per team for the Jukola relay and EUR 64 per team for the Venla relay. Registration will be valid only if the entry fee has been paid by March 1, 2005. For teams registering during the period March 2, 2005 - May 15, 2005, the fee for the Jukola relay will be EUR 133 per team and EUR 76 per team for the Venla relay. Registration will be valid only if the entry fee has been paid by May 15, 2005. The entry fees must be paid to bank account 520006-236100 (Payee: Sippu-Jukola 2005). When paying from abroad, Swift code OKOYFIHH and IBAN code FI3052000620036100 must be used. An additional EUR 7 must be added to the entry fee in order to cover supplementary bank charges. However, this does not apply to payments made in another EU member state AND in euros. Late entries: Late entries will be accepted until June 11, 2005. The late entry fees will be EUR 190 per Jukola team and EUR 110 per Venla team. Payments must be made by June 11, 2005. Team composition: The team composition (running order) can be entered via the Internet when registering the teams, or later on, with the help of passwords - see the Registration information above. The team composition for both relays must be entered by June 18, at 11 a.m. the latest. The team composition form will be sent to all teams together with the club material, and the team composition form can be submitted by fax +358-5-535 4016 or by post to the Sippu-Jukola 2005 office, or by delivering the form to the Info desk at the competition centre. Number bibs and other team material will not be available before the team composition has been delivered and the entry fees have been paid. Accommodation: It is customary for each club to have their own tents at the camping site. Non-heated military tents are also for rent at a cost of EUR 110 per tent. The military tent area will be situated at the competition centre. Military tents should preferably be reserved when registering the teams. The bookings will be valid as soon as the necessary fees have been paid. Service tents for teams: At the competition centre, a certain area will be reserved for service tents (5 x 6 m). The front row is reserved primarily for the best 100 teams of the 2004 Jukola in Jämi. Other tent sites will be allocated according to a sign-up list. Clubs with 10 teams or more (Venla + Jukola) may reserve two tent sites. The fee per tent will be EUR 20. Reservations and payment must be made in conjunction with registering the team. Parking: All cars must be parked according to the instructions given by the organisers on site. The parking lot will be on a field located between 500-1900 metres from the competition centre. Caravans will be allowed to park closest to the competition centre. Buses will be directed to Utti located 25km from the competition centre. Buses will be unloaded at the competition centre. Drivers have free transportation to the competition centre. Competition centre: The competition centre is situated in Sippola, Anjalankoski. The competition centre will open on Friday June 17, 2005 at 2 p.m. Services available at the competition centre include restaurants, first aid, info desk, shops and exhibition stands as well as a post office and a bank. Training: Sippu-Jukola's training maps enable effective training within the immediate proximity of the competition centre. Other training maps will also be available.
