Competition map
The competition map will be six coloured, and the scale used will be 1:10,000 with a 5 m contour interval. The map will be either size A2 (420 x 594 mm) or size A3 (297 x 420 mm). Field work was carried out in the autumn of 2003. The map was made entirely by means of local experts. Aerial photography, the making of stereo maps and part of the field work was carried out by Esko Naukkarinen from Pro Orienteering Ltd., a local company based in Ummeljoki. Part of the field work was done by Marko Uotila, who is also the course designer of the Jukola Relay.
